Sotoyu public bathhouse in Kinosaki Onsen

The town’s policy, not the building’s

This is one of Kinosaki’s public bathhouses, and the rule belongs to the town rather than to this particular building. The tourism association states in English that all seven allow tattoos of any size with nothing to cover — the only place on this site where a whole town is open rather than a property at a time. Two are shut as this is written: Satono-Yu indefinitely since April 2024, and Kono-Yu for renovation until 30 October 2026, leaving five. A day pass covering all of them is 1,500 yen, bought at any bathhouse, and guests staying in the town are normally given a pass at check-in instead.
