Tabisomeya Yamaichi

Does Tabisomeya Yamaichi allow tattoos? In a private bath
Tabisomeya Yamaichi is a 16-room inn laid with tatami from the hallways to the stairs, and its private bath pours source water into a ceramic tub beside a tatami washing floor.
Yamaichi publishes no tattoo rule. It rents a private bath by the session, a ceramic tub of source-flowing spring water with a tatami washing floor, and two first-floor rooms have a ceramic tub of their own. Either gives you a bath nobody else shares; the shared baths have no published answer.
The bath
The water is Tsunagi Onsen, natural hot spring water used at full strength and flowing through, with no artificial spring mixed in. The inn describes it as strongly alkaline, good for tiredness and general health, cleansing for the skin, and rich in metasilicic acid, which it says keeps the skin moist. Staying guests can bathe from 1 p.m. to midnight and from 5 to 9:30 a.m.
Men and women each have an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The open-air baths run a little hot because the water flows straight through, and they cannot be reserved.
The private bath is a ceramic tub filled straight from the source, with a washing area laid with tatami so that families with small children can use it safely. Shower, shampoo, conditioner and body soap are kept there. The resting room beside it has easy chairs and cold water, a dryer and toiletries, and a toilet kept for private bath users. A session is 50 minutes for ¥1,575 a group, from 11 a.m., with the last start at 10 p.m. and the last booking at 9 p.m. Two rooms on the main building's first floor, Sakura and Buna, have their own ceramic tub, and the inn says each room's tub is different.
The hotel
A 16-room inn in Tsunagi's Tateichi district, behind white plaster walls and laid with tatami throughout, corridors and stairs included. The head chef cooks with what is in season and local. All rooms are Japanese style: 6-mat and 8-mat rooms in the main building and 10-mat rooms on the annex's third floor. There is no elevator. Day plans with a lunch tray and a private resting room are sold from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and groups of ten or more get a free pickup around Morioka.
