Does Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Premium Yoshinoya Irokuen allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

Emperor Showa was among the guests at this inn’s old villa, the town association says; the villa is now a paid garden and museum nearby, and the hotel that kept the name runs a sauna floor with a deck over the Kakusenkei gorge. The seal rule covers that floor too.

The seal rule here reaches one step further than at the group’s other Yamanaka houses: it covers the TOTONOI sauna floor as well as the large baths. Cover the tattoo completely with the hotel’s paid seals and both are open; the group FAQ allows up to two 10 × 14 cm seals at 220 yen each. A barrel sauna for up to four can be rented by the group, but it is a sauna, not a bath.
