Does Kamenoi Hotel Arima allow tattoos? In a private bath
Three premium room types have a free-flowing gold-spring bath in the room. The hotel publishes no tattoo policy for its large bath.
Three Premium Japanese-Western room types, added in August 2025, have a bath on free-flowing gold spring. The hotel’s own pages say nothing about tattoos in the large bath, and it has no private bath to reserve.

The bath
The premium rooms sleep four or five, and one is a corner room with a view. The large bath runs on free-flowing gold spring from the hotel’s own Atagoyama source and takes day visitors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Formerly a Kanpo no Yado. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 10 a.m.
Good to know
- Book a room marked gold spring. The standard rooms don’t have it.
- Free shuttle from the station, about 5 minutes.
Getting there
Arima-Onsen STN · Kobe Electric Railway
About 5 minutes by the hotel’s free shuttle, or 20 minutes on foot.
From Sannomiya in Kobe, take the subway to Tanigami, then the Kobe Electric Railway, changing at Arima-guchi, to Arima-Onsen; it’s about 1 hour from Osaka. Express buses from Sannomiya and Osaka also run to the Arima Onsen bus stop.
