Does Le Grand Karuizawa Hotel & Resort allow tattoos? In a private bath
One bath at this resort is yours alone: a viewing bath with a big window on Mount Asama, sold to one group each day and filled with ordinary heated water rather than the spring.
The private option is one viewing bath with Mount Asama in its window, rented to a single group a day for 3,300 yen and booked by phone. It is ordinary water, not hot spring, and the hotel says so. The resort’s hot spring baths, KOMOREBI for guests and the Happu Onsen day bath, are shared, and their pages publish no tattoo rule. Le Grand Kyu-Karuizawa, the same group’s hotel in town, refuses tattoos outright, so do not read the silence here as a yes.

What happens when you arrive
Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.
How we know
Confirmed from official site, bath structure rather than a tattoo policy (the resort’s onsen page, 展望風呂 block)
