Sakae, on the eighth floor of the Grand Building Day-use Finnish sauna house, mixed and single-sex rooms

SaunaLab Nagoya

サウナラボ名古屋

Does SaunaLab Nagoya allow tattoos? Yes!

Nothing to cover

A Finnish sauna house on the eighth floor above Sakae where the operator’s own answer to the tattoo question is that there is no restriction.

Nothing to cover and nothing to declare. The house’s own question-and-answer page is asked whether a tattooed guest may use it and replies that there is no particular restriction on tattoos. The one place the same operator shuts out is Forest House, the women’s sauna floor at its Wellbe Sakae branch, which is a different building.

The operator’s own wording on that page. Nothing here needs showing at a desk. If anyone does ask, show them this. It is the operator’s own wording.

Best for: A tattooed traveler in central Nagoya who wants a bath house that asks nothing, and does not mind that the water is cold

This is a sauna house, not a hot spring. The water tubs are cold plunges; there is no large hot bath and no spring. Men and women use the main rooms together in sauna clothing, and there are single-sex rooms as well. Open 12:00 to 21:00 Wednesday through Monday with last sauna entry at 20:30, closed Tuesdays. Three hours from 2,700 yen on weekdays and 3,300 yen at weekends. Whole-house private hire is sold separately and has to be booked six weeks ahead.
