Does RISONARE Nasu allow tattoos? Yes!

Nothing to cover

RISONARE Nasu is Hoshino Resorts’ farm resort in the Nasu forest, and its hot spring is open to staying guests only. For baths like that, Hoshino’s rule is that tattoos are not restricted.

Hoshino Resorts’ group FAQ says the group doesn’t restrict guests with tattoos, though staff may turn someone away from the baths if they judge other guests would be frightened. The same FAQ asks for cover seals only at baths that non-staying guests share, and this resort’s hot spring is for staying guests only.

The bath

The resort's own fact list says only that it has one hot spring, and it does not publish the spring type. The bath is on the basement floor of the main building, and the resort describes it as a relaxing indoor tub and an outdoor tub that looks into the forest. It is for staying guests only, open 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. to 11 a.m.

After the bath there is a lounge that serves a strawberry vinegar drink, and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. the Forest Night Lounge sets out sparkling wine, plum liqueur, herbal tea and small plates at no charge. The activities page also lists a forest sauna program that ends with a cold plunge and the open-air bath; it needs a booking, takes ages 3 and up, and the resort calls it a perk for staying guests. No private baths are listed.

The hotel

A Hoshino Resorts farm resort with 43 rooms for one to four guests, set apart from each other in about 14 hectares of forest, with a Maisonette Suite at the top of the range and rooms that take dogs. Some room names changed on July 1, 2026. Dinner is an Italian course at OTTO SETTE NASU or a buffet at SHAKI SHAKI, which also serves the breakfast buffet; the POKO POKO cafe does wood-oven pizza and gelato through the day. Children under 6 sharing a bed stay free. The farm lesson, the forest treasure hunt, crafts and herbal tea blending are free for guests.
