Does Asaya Hotel allow tattoos? Yes, covered
The hotel with the rooftop bath at the head of the Kinugawa strip, thirteen floors up with the gorge below it, and a shuttle bus that loops the resort’s hotels from the station for three hundred yen.
A one-point tattoo under a seal, and nothing larger. The hotel asks tattooed guests to keep out of the large bath and use a private bath or the one in their room instead — then makes an exception for a single small piece a cover seal hides. The seals are sold in the sixth-floor shop, so you can buy them after you arrive.
