Itsutsubashi 3-chome, Wakabayashi-ku, eight minutes on foot from Sendai Station west exit Hotel with daiyokujo and open-air bath

APA Hotel Sendai-eki Itsutsubashi

アパホテル〈仙台駅五橋〉

Does APA Hotel Sendai-eki Itsutsubashi allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

The only APA in Sendai with a bath, renovated in 2025, and one of the few hotel baths downtown that sells a day ticket to people who are not sleeping there.

Covered is admitted. The property’s own bath FAQ answers the tattoo question directly: bathing is allowed when the tattoo can be hidden under a seal the hotel supplies. The chain sets that seal at 10 by 12 centimeters and allows two of them, and says outright that a tattoo too wide to cover is refused, so this works for a small piece and not for a sleeve.

A chain rule with the smallest seal on this page

APA states its rule centrally, in force since 19 March 2019 and repeated on every property page: tattoos are refused in the daiyokujo unless they can be hidden under no more than two of APA’s own point cover seals, each 10×12 cm (3.9×4.7 in). How we know

Confirmed from official site (the property’s own 大浴場について FAQ, read in a browser; the seal size comes from APA’s central customer-services page)

Best for: A short walk from the station, an open-air tub, and a bath you can use on a day ticket without a room

Second floor, with an open-air section. Guests bathe 15:00 to 25:00 and 06:00 to 10:00; day visitors who are not staying can use it 15:00 to 01:00 and 06:00 to 10:00, which is unusual for a downtown business hotel. Not a hot spring: the FAQ describes the water as 準天然光明石温泉, an artificial mineral bath made with a ministry-approved rock as the source. The hotel reopened after a full renovation in August 2025 and was formerly APA Villa. It is the only APA in Sendai with a large bath: the FAQ at APA Sendai Kotodai-koen answers 当館にはございません, and APA TKP Sendai-eki Kita lists no bath questions at all.
