Ame no Hi to Yuyake

支笏湖 雨ノ日と夕やけ

Does Ame no Hi to Yuyake allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Six rooms with a jacuzzi apiece and no bathhouse at all, three minutes from a spring bath the owners will rent you alone for 550 yen.

Six rooms and no shared bath of its own, which the operator states outright. The tub in the room is a jacuzzi and the operator says plainly it is not spring water. The spring comes from the sister inn three minutes away: guests may use its large bath free and as often as they like, or book its private spring bath for 550 yen a 40-minute session. Book the private one and nothing about tattoos comes up; neither inn publishes a rule either way.

What happens when you arrive

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.

How we know

Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy (the no-large-bath statement, the jacuzzi and the 550-yen private spring bath from /yuyake/room/)

Read on: amenohito.com/yuyake/room/

Best for: A six-room house where the private spring bath next door costs 550 yen and the room tub is yours all night

Six rooms, all with private bath and toilet, earth-toned and plain, entirely non-smoking, and the whole house can be taken for up to ten people. The in-room jacuzzi is ordinary heated water, not spring water, and the operator says so in the same sentence as the missing large bath. The spring bath used is at Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei, three minutes on foot, free for the large bath and 550 yen including tax for a 40-minute private session; a lift is offered to anyone who needs it. Dinner is a five-course meal built around pizza baked to order. No vending machine, and there is no convenience store or grocery in Shikotsuko Onsen, so shop before arriving.
