Does Yunagi-no-Yu Hotel Hanajukai allow tattoos? In a private bath
A hillside hotel over Takamatsu where ten rooms have their own bath, eight of them cut from a single slab of granite and filled with the hotel’s own spring.
Ten of the forty-five rooms have a bath of their own: three Japanese-Western rooms and five Japanese rooms with a tub cut from a single slab of granite, one room with a boat-shaped open-air tub, and the top suites with a cypress view bath. Those are on the hotel’s spring water and they settle the question without a policy. Three other rooms have an open-air jacuzzi that the hotel says plainly is not spring-fed. Nothing on the site addresses tattoos in the panoramic shared bath.

JR All Shikoku Rail Pass Three to seven days, from 12,000 yen, on every JR Shikoku train, with non-reserved seats on the limited expresses. It starts at Kojima, the first stop on the Shikoku side of the line from Okayama, so Okayama to Kojima is a short separate fare. Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy. The room page at hanajyukai.jp/room/ names each bath room and marks which tubs are on spring water, and the facilities page counts them. Thirty pages of the site were read for private baths and forty-five for tattoo text; the tattoo crawl found nothing anywhere.

The designer rooms and the Ao-no-Rakuen sky suite have an open-air jacuzzi rather than a spring bath, and the hotel writes it out: こちらの露天ジャグジー風呂は「温泉給湯」ではございません. The spring is a sodium hydrogen-carbonate cold mineral water. The shared bath is a panoramic one looking over the Inland Sea and the city; the sky lounge off the lobby has a free foot bath. Forty-five rooms in all.
