Does San Ryutei allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

The inn built its reputation on two detached private baths by the river, one in Kurobe River rock and one in hinoki, and has since added seven rooms with open-air baths. Its own FAQ admits that four of those tubs hold plain hot water rather than the spring.

San Ryutei publishes no tattoo rule. It has two detached private open-air baths you book at the desk on the day, and seven rooms with their own open-air bath. The inn’s FAQ is careful to say that only three of those seven, Sakura, Kawane and Tsuki, run on spring water.

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.

How we know

Confirmed from official site, bath structure rather than a tattoo policy (its 温泉 page for the two 離れ貸切露天風呂 and prices; its FAQ: 露天風呂付客室は全て温泉ですか?)

The association’s list gives this inn Hotel Kurobe’s phone number by mistake; the number in contact is the one on the inn’s own site.
