Does Yamanaka Onsen Ohanami Kyubei allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

A cherry-blossom themed inn with no outdoor bath in its shared bathhouse and three private open-air baths instead, free to anyone staying the night.

Ohanami Kyubei publishes no tattoo rule, and it has three private open-air baths that are free to staying guests, booked on the day in order of asking. The large baths are indoor only, so the private baths are also where the view is. Rooms of the Rokushoan type have their own open-air tub.

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.
