Does Aburaya Tosen allow tattoos? In a private bath
Aburaya Tosen’s private bath is a Shigaraki stoneware tub set out in the open where, the inn says, you can hear the wind across the valley.
Aburaya Tosen does not publish a tattoo rule. It rents Suigetsu-no-yu, a private open-air bath in Shigaraki ware, in 50-minute turns by reservation, and sells rooms with their own open-air bath. Take either rather than the two shared baths.

Suigetsu-no-yu: 2,200 yen for 50 minutes, reservation required, 15:00 to 22:50. Shared baths: the Yumeji and Yumemi large baths. The inn sells several room types with a view open-air bath. There is also a private bedrock-bath room, Riraku, and a massage room. Water is alkaline sodium chloride, pH 8.59.
