Akiu Resort Hotel Crescent

秋保リゾートホテルクレセント

Does Akiu Resort Hotel Crescent allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

Crescent is the one house in Akiu that will let a covered tattoo into its bath but sells no seals, so the 8cm by 10cm patch has to come with you.

The hotel refuses the large bath to tattooed guests as a rule and then names the exception in the same sentence: one cover seal of 8cm × 10cm, covering the tattoo so it cannot be seen. The detail that matters is the last line, which says the guest supplies the seal. Nothing is sold at the desk here, so a single 8cm × 10cm patch has to be in your bag before you arrive.

タトゥーなどを入れたお客様の大浴場のご利用は、原則お断りしています。ただし、8cm×10cmのカバーシール1枚で見えないようカバーしていただいた場合は、この限りではありません。シールはお客様ご自身で持参願います。

The operator’s own wording, to show at the desk if you need to.

Best for: A Western-style room and a forest bath, if you bring your own cover seal

Run by Breezbay, in the BBH group. Single large bath, Shunju-no-yu, from a source drilled 800 meters down, with a jet bath and big windows; there is no open-air bath and no sauna. Bath hours 11:30–24:00 and 05:30–09:00, with the last morning entry at 08:30. Towels come from the room, not the bath. Day bathing is 1,000 yen for adults from 11:30, last entry 15:00, but the association’s own sheet warns that women cannot start before 12:00 on Tuesdays and men before 12:00 on Thursdays. Rooms are mostly Western and the kitchen is French. Check-in 15:00, check-out 10:30.
