Kotori
有馬温泉 小都里
Does Kotori allow tattoos? In a private bath
One room has an open-air bath on the silver spring, and guests can book the private gold-spring bath at the sister ryokan two minutes away. Kotori publishes no tattoo policy.
One room, Mukudori, has its own open-air bath on the silver spring. Guests can also reserve Hanagokoro, the private gold-spring bath at sister ryokan Hanamusubi, two minutes on foot, at ¥2,200 a person with a minimum of two. Kotori’s pages say nothing about tattoos.
What the hotel says about its baths

The bath
Kotori’s own two baths are small indoor ones on the silver spring. Its facilities page says they are lent privately in 45-minute slots booked by phone, but it words that as a pandemic measure, so ask whether it still applies. Guests can use the gold-spring large baths at Hanamusubi as well.
The hotel
Eight rooms: the open-air-bath room, five Japanese rooms and two Western ones. The others have no bath or toilet in the room. Dinner is served at Hanamusubi, and the inn takes cash only. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 10 a.m.
Good to know
- Cash only. Bring enough for the stay.
