Does Mitsui Garden Hotel Kanazawa allow tattoos? Yes!
A top-floor bath whose sleeping tub looks straight across Kanazawa Castle Park toward Kenrokuen, in a hotel that dropped its tattoo restriction in October 2025.
Nothing to cover. The Kanazawa bath page states that the hotel has abolished its admission restriction on body art and tattoos, and the only guests the same notes turn away are drunk ones. The Kanazawa site dates the change to 16 October 2025, ahead of the group-wide date the guide recorded for Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. No seal, no size limit.

JR Hokuriku Area Pass Four days on the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Tsuruga and Kurobe-Unazukionsen, non-reserved, for 7,000 yen, which reaches Kaga-Onsen, Awara-Onsen and Kurobe-Unazukionsen from Kanazawa. It does not cover Kanazawa’s city buses or the IR Ishikawa Railway stops in between. Sold on Klook.

Top floor, guests only, free, 15:00 to 09:00. Men’s bath Sai and women’s bath Asano, which are also the names of the city’s two rivers, with a sleeping tub facing the view over Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen. The page names no spring and publishes no analysis, so treat it as heated tap water. The Kanazawa top page notice reads 2025年10月16日（木）より、大浴場施設においてボディアート・タトゥ等の受入制限を撤廃いたします。 and adds that restrictions differ by facility. City rules bar mixed bathing for children above the stated age.
