Does Fuji Marriott Hotel Lake Yamanaka allow tattoos? Yes, covered
A Marriott on the Yamanaka side of Mount Fuji that draws the local alkaline spring, which the hotel says is known as a bath for the skin, into its large bath and into the tubs of its 21 Premier rooms.
Covered. The hotel refuses tattooed bathers in the large bath and the open-air bath unless two cover seals of 8 by 10 centimeters hide the tattoo; the FAQ tells you to ask the front desk. A tattoo bigger than that is the reason to book a Premier room, which has its own bathroom filled from the Yamanaka hot spring.

Best for: Two small tattoos, or a Premier room with its own onsen tub
Seal size: 8 × 10 cm, two at most; the hotel does not say it supplies them. Large bath and open-air bath 6:00–10:00 and 13:30–24:00, men’s and women’s sides swapping daily; twice a month the afternoon session opens at 15:00. On busy nights the hotel caps the number of bathers each hour. The 21 Premier rooms (twin or king, 41.2 m²) have a bathroom with Yamanaka onsen water. Lake Yamanaka is about 30 minutes by road east of Lake Kawaguchi.
