Does Hinata no Yado Nichinan Miyazaki allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Hinata no Yado runs more than ten kinds of tub on a silica-rich spring, and keeps one of them, Nagomi-no-yu, behind a door you can rent, with three premium rooms that have open-air baths of their own.

No tattoo rule is published. The private answers are the family bath Nagomi-no-yu, a bath rented to one party with picture windows over the town, and three premium rooms with their own open-air hot spring bath. The hotel does not print the family bath’s price or hours.

The bath

The spring is a chloride and sodium bicarbonate water, 33.4°C at the source, pH 7.4, colorless and odorless and not for drinking. The hotel sells it on its metasilicic acid, 66 milligrams against the 50 the trade counts as a beauty bath, and says the water is soft enough for small children and sensitive skin.

The men's and women's halls run to more than ten kinds of tub: a relaxation bath, a floating bath, a whirlpool, an esthetic bath, a vital bath, a moxibustion bath, a jet reclining bath, an open-air bath, a cold bath, a walking bath and a sauna. Day bathing runs from 6 to 9 a.m. and noon to 10 p.m., last entry 9 p.m.; staying guests have until 11 p.m. The site does not print the admission price.

The private answer is Nagomi-no-yu, the family bath: a square tub of dark polished stone with steps and handrails in a room whose whole back wall is window, looking down over the town and the hills at dusk. The hotel describes it as a spacious bath for a family to take as a private room, and that is all it says; price, minutes and how to book are not published, so ask at the desk. The premium rooms Ten, Son and Ko each have a private open-air hot spring bath on a timber-roofed terrace; Rin has a private bath room.

The hotel

A 46-room hotel in nine types: Japanese rooms of six to ten mats, Western singles and twins, Japanese-Western rooms, three types with their own bath and the four premium rooms, from Rin at 34 square meters to Ten at 64 with two king beds. There is a restaurant, a rest room, banquet halls, a shop, a coin laundry and 196 free parking spaces, plus a separate villa, Itajiki. The hotel runs lunch service and seasonal lobster dinners in autumn. Check-in 3 p.m., check-out 10 a.m.
