Hotel Harvest Nasu

Does Hotel Harvest Nasu allow tattoos? In a private bath
Hotel Harvest Nasu rents out a family bath by the hour, with handrails and free use for wheelchair users, next to its large shared baths.
Harvest Nasu’s pages carry no tattoo rule. Its family bath can be reserved by the hour, which gives a tattooed guest a spring bath of their own.
The bath
The water is Shiroyashio-no-yu, from a source on the hotel's own grounds: a sodium chloride, sulfate and hydrogen carbonate spring that the hotel classes as weakly alkaline, hypotonic and hot. It lists neuralgia, muscle and joint pain, stiff shoulders, bruises, sprains, chronic digestive trouble, poor circulation and fatigue as the traditional uses.
The large baths are on the first floor of the spa building, open 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. to midnight. Indoors there is a falling-water massage spout and a lying bath; outside, an open-air bath in the trees that the hotel calls bathing and forest-bathing at once; and a sauna. Upstairs is a free indoor exercise pool with a jacuzzi, a children's pool and a jet pool, 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., swimsuit and cap required and not rented.
The family bath is the private option. It rents by the hour from 3 p.m. to midnight for ¥3,300, by reservation, and there is one version fitted with handrails. Guests with a disability certificate or in a wheelchair get an hour free, arranged in advance and shown at the front desk. The bath is a square tub sunk in a granite surround, walled in slim brick tile with a corner window onto a garden, and red rails at the steps.
The hotel
A Tokyu Resorts and Stays hotel, paired with the members-only Tokyu Harvest Club, built as low wings around a gentle slope on the edge of the Imperial Villa grounds, and marking 20 years in Nasu with an anniversary course this autumn. The public rooms are 36 m² Western rooms for three, 43 m² Japanese-Western rooms for five, 54 m² deluxe versions for six, and 84 m² cottages for seven, one type for guests with dogs; the stay page lists eight rooms for sale. Dinner is a course at G-Dining Kirameki or a buffet at grand-Buffet Minori, breakfast a buffet from 7 a.m. Samue and a padded tanzen (a padded robe) hang in the room. Check-in 3 p.m., checkout 11 a.m.
