Does Miyama Ouan allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

The four private baths carry a lit board at the entrance showing which are free, and the FAQ names them as the answer for anyone turned away from the big bath.

The house FAQ refuses tattooed guests in the large bath and, in the same answer, sends them to the four private baths instead. Those four are free, need no reservation, and are open from check-in until ten the next morning, with an extra window from eleven to three for guests staying on. A lit board by the entrance shows which of them are empty.

Best for: Four free lock-the-door baths in a timber house built by Hida carpenters.

Two of the four private baths are open-air and two are indoor, all free and unreserved, with a 30-minute turn asked of each party. Rooms with their own open-air bath are reached by stairs only, 13 steps. The large bath has a sauna, closed 1:00–5:00. Around 24,200 yen per person with two meals. No day-use bathing.
