Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West

三井ガーデンホテル札幌ウエスト

Does Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo West allow tattoos? Yes!

Nothing to cover

The tub here is built with a step in it so you can sit half out of the water, under a wall piece called Kazeshirube, named for the pampas grass that gave Susukino its name.

Tattoos are not restricted here. The bath page states that the hotel has removed its body-art and tattoo restriction, the same wording the operator uses across its bath-equipped properties. Nothing has to be covered and nothing has to be declared at reception.

Part of a group-wide change

This is one of 24 bath-equipped properties run by Mitsui Fudosan Hotel Management, which abolished its tattoo rule across all of them on 1 March 2026. The whole picture on Mitsui Garden, and every Mitsui Garden listing on this site →

What happens when you arrive

Check in and go to the bath. There is no seal to buy and nothing to declare.

How we know

Confirmed from official site (the property’s own 大浴場 page, plus the operator’s dated corporate notice of 2026-03-01)

当ホテルではボディアート・タトゥ等の受入制限を撤廃しております。

The operator’s own wording on that page. Nothing here needs showing at a desk. If anyone does ask, show them this. It is the operator’s own wording.

Best for: Soaking half out of the water on the tub’s built-in step after a day on foot downtown

Second floor, guests only, free, 15:00 to 09:00. The tub is stepped so you can sit in it to the waist rather than the shoulders. The women’s changing room has a powder corner stocked with skincare; towels come from the guest room. Two hundred meters from its sister hotel, and the pair share one rule.
