Shirarahama, on the beach Large hotel

Shiraraso Grand Hotel

白良荘グランドホテル

Does Shiraraso Grand Hotel allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

The big hotel directly across from Shirarahama’s white sand, with two bath halls that trade sides overnight — one looking out over the sea from above, one down at the rocks with the sound of it — and a private bath you book by the three-quarter hour.

Two seals’ worth, about 7×11 cm each. The hotel’s bath page refuses tattooed guests in one sentence and lets them in in the next, on condition that two cover seals hide the tattoo completely. There is also a private bath for guests, 2,200 yen for forty-five minutes, which is the route for anything larger.

泥酔者および刺青(入れ墨)・タトゥーをされている方のご利用・ご入場はお断りしております。ただし、タトゥーカバーシール(約7cm×11cm)2枚で隠せる場合は入浴いただけます。

The operator’s own wording. Showing it settles the question.

Best for: The beach itself: it is across the road, and the two bath halls look at it

Two bath halls, Shiokaze and Matsukaze, which swap between men and women at 15:00 and 5:00. The private bath runs 16:00 to 23:00 and 7:30 to 8:30 and is for staying guests.
