ブリーズベイ修善寺ホテル

Does Breezbay Shuzenji Hotel allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

The cave bath was drilled straight into the hillside and the open-air bath above it has been running since 1961, which is older than most of what is left in Shuzenji.

One seal, and the hotel gives the size. Tattooed guests are refused the large bath in principle, but a single 8cm × 10cm cover seal that leaves nothing showing lifts the refusal. That is half the allowance the two Odaira hotels give, so a tattoo that needs two patches will not pass here.

The operator’s own wording, to show at the desk if you need to.

Best for: A single small tattoo on a budget: this is the cheapest bed in town with a written rule

Two shared baths: the Keikoku rock bath in Izu stone, 15:00–24:00 and 06:00–09:00, and a cave bath drilled into the hillside. The Manten open-air bath dates from 1961 and runs 15:00–24:00 and 06:00–08:40; it is taken first come, first served on the day and cannot be reserved ahead. Weakly alkaline simple spring.
