Wakamatsucho, three minutes from Hakodate Station and the morning market Business hotel with a thirteenth-floor hot spring bath ★★★☆☆

Route Inn Grantia Hakodate Ekimae

ルートイングランティア函館駅前

Does Route Inn Grantia Hakodate Ekimae allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

Thirteen floors up over the morning market, a chloride spring salty enough that the hotel calls it a warming bath.

Cover the tattoo completely and the bath is open. Route Inn Hotels states the rule once for the whole group, Grantia included, and this property publishes no exception: tattoos are refused, except where a cover seal hides them entirely. The bath page itself says nothing about tattoos either way, so the rule you are relying on is the group’s.

A chain rule, and the most generous seal of any hotel chain

Route Inn sets this once for the whole group — Route Inn, Grand, Ark and Grand Vrio alike — and states it plainly: tattooed guests may not bathe unless the tattoo is completely covered with a cover seal. The whole picture on Route Inn, and every Route Inn listing on this site →

How we know

Confirmed from official site (the Route Inn Hotels group FAQ, which names Grantia among the brands it covers; the property’s own bath page carries no tattoo text)

Best for: A real hot spring on the thirteenth floor, three minutes from the station, at business-hotel money

The group FAQ as read on 2026-09-18 states the rule but not a seal size, and does not say whether seals are sold on site; ask at the desk. Tabibito-no-yu is on the thirteenth floor, 15:00 to 02:00 and 05:00 to 10:00, on a chloride spring the hotel calls a warming bath. Guests only, no day use: 旅人の湯はご宿泊のお客様限定でご利用いただけます。 Breakfast is free when you book through the hotel’s own site.
