Does Tsuchiyu Onsen Public Bath Nakanoyu allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Nakanoyu is Tsuchiyu's public bathhouse, run by the village tourism association, with two kinds of spring water and four private baths at ¥1,500 for 50 minutes.

Nakanoyu publishes no tattoo rule. It rents four private baths for 50 minutes on top of the admission ticket, so a tattooed bather can have one alone.

The bath

Nakanoyu has two kinds of water, a simple spring and a bicarbonate spring. The tourism association lists the simple spring for autonomic imbalance, sleeplessness and low mood, and the bicarbonate spring for cuts, poor circulation in the hands and feet, cold sensitivity, dry skin and low mood. The men's and women's large baths each have an open-air bath, an ordinary tub and a hot tub. The baths are open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with last entry at 8:30 p.m., and close on Tuesdays.

The four private baths are rented by the room, ¥1,500 for 50 minutes for about three people, on top of the ¥500 admission ticket. Last entry for them is 7:30 p.m. The city's photos show a small tiled tub in a room of pale wood with tall paned windows.

The hotel

Nakanoyu is the village bathhouse, listed among Fukushima City's facilities and run by the Tsuchiyu Onsen Tourism Association, a nonprofit. Admission is ¥500 for adults and ¥250 for children aged 1 to 11, with a book of 12 tickets at ¥5,000. There is a rest room, limited to an hour a visit, and parking for 20 cars. Alcohol and outside food are not allowed.
