Hirooka, a minute from the Kanazawa-ko (west) exit of Kanazawa Station Hotel with an open-air large bath open to day visitors

APA Hotel Kanazawa-Ekimae, APA Spa

アパホテル〈金沢駅前〉 大浴殿

Does APA Hotel Kanazawa-Ekimae, APA Spa allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

Heated tap water rather than a spring, but an open-air tub on both sides and the chain’s tattoo seals handed over free, a minute from Kanazawa Station’s west exit.

Staying guests get the seals free. The property FAQ refuses tattoos and warns that anyone found out inside will be asked to leave, then admits a tattoo covered by no more than two of APA’s 10-by-12-centimeter point cover seals. The front desk hands over two per guest per night at no charge, one night’s worth at a time; day visitors buy theirs at the desk.

The operator’s own wording, to show at the desk if you need to.

A chain rule with the smallest seal on this page

APA states its rule centrally, in force since 19 March 2019 and repeated on every property page: tattoos are refused in the daiyokujo unless they can be hidden under no more than two of APA’s own point cover seals, each 10×12 cm (3.9×4.7 in). How we know

Confirmed from official site (the property’s own 大浴場について FAQ, read in a browser)

Best for: A small tattoo and free seals, a minute from the station

Not a hot spring: the FAQ says 沸かし湯, heated water. Men have three tubs and a cold plunge, women two and a cold plunge; both sides have an open-air bath (a pot tub for women), and the men’s side has three chairs for cooling off outside. Busiest 19:00 to 23:00. The FAQ gives the hours once as 06:00 to 24:00 and elsewhere as 06:00 to 25:00. Day bathing 1,500 yen for three hours. No private bath. Bring towels from the room.
