Does Yuwaku Onsen Kokarian allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

You won’t need a shared bath at Kokarian: it has none, and each of its four rooms has its own hot-spring bath. Two are open-air and two semi-open-air.

The inn publishes no tattoo rule, and it takes no day bathers.

The bath

The two ground-floor rooms, Mokubei (48 square meters, for one or two) and Kokutani (56 square meters, for up to three), have an open-air bath facing the garden. The two upstairs, Yoshidaya (65 square meters, up to five) and Akae (70 square meters, up to six), have a semi-open-air bath. The water comes from Yuwaku’s No. 5 source, a mild spring that comes out of the ground lukewarm.

The hotel

All four rooms are non-smoking suites. Check-in is 3 p.m., checkout 10 a.m. Dinner and breakfast are Hokuriku kaiseki (a multi-course Japanese meal) in private dining rooms with tables. Pick a colorful yukata (a light cotton robe) at the front desk; there are men’s as well as women’s. Parking holds 8 cars.
