Does Hotel Harvest Kinugawa Keisui allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

At Hotel Harvest Kinugawa Keisui there is no room without an onsen tub on the terrace, which takes the guesswork out of booking.

Every room here, from the 59 m² deluxe twins up, comes with an onsen open-air tub over the gorge, so a tattooed guest never has to use the shared bath. The hotel publishes no tattoo rule. There is also a sixth-floor family bath with onsen water, one hour for 3,300 yen by reservation.

The bath

The hotel draws its own source, Shaka-no-yu, an alkaline simple spring (low-tension, alkaline, high-temperature) that it lists for neuralgia, muscle and joint pain, frozen shoulder, cold and bruises. The first-floor bath hall has an indoor tub, an open-air bath and a sauna built with windows so the room stays bright; all of it looks at the gorge. Hours are 6:00 to 10:00 and 15:00 to 24:00. The hotel says nothing about day bathing or about the sides swapping.

Every one of the ten rooms has an onsen open-air tub on its private terrace facing the Kinugawa gorge: the 59 m² Deluxe Twin for three and the 76 m² Deluxe Japanese-Western for four. On the sixth floor there is also a family bath with the same spring water, one hour for ¥3,300, by reservation, open 15:00 to 23:00.

The hotel

A ten-room resort hotel run by Tokyu Resorts and Stays under its Hotel Harvest brand, on the gorge south of the station near Tobu World Square. The concept is fire, fermentation and nature. Rooms are furnished in dark wood and carpet with a terrace behind floor-to-ceiling glass, and the room kit runs to a washer and dryer, wine glasses, a tea set and samue (a loose cotton lounge set) to wear in the house. The restaurant Kei serves dinner and breakfast, there is a lobby lounge open 24 hours, a free telework booth and a laundry room. Check-in 15:00, check-out 11:00.
