Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower, formerly Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort

Does Phoenix Seagaia Ocean Tower, formerly Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort allow tattoos? In a private bath
The Ocean Tower’s Shosenkyu baths refuse an exposed tattoo as a rule, but hotel guests can book Hanare-yu, an open-air bath under a gazebo in the pines, by the hour.
The Shosenkyu bath page says that, as a rule, exposed tattoos are refused in the shared baths. The answer is the two private baths for hotel guests, Hanare-yu and Oyunomiya, which are booked ahead and used by one party at a time; their pages set no tattoo rule.
The bath
Shosenkyu draws an iodine-bearing sodium chloride strong salt spring from 1,000 meters down; it calls the water a beauty bath of dissolved ancient sea and lists it for fatigue, cold sensitivity and joint pain. The shared baths are Tsukuyomi, an open-air bath in the pine forest, 6 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Mangetsu, with a sauna and a mud pack made from the spring's minerals, men 6 to 11 a.m. and women 3 to 11:30 p.m.; and Shingetsu, an indoor-and-outdoor bath with a lacquered ceiling, closed for renovation from October 2026 to January 2027. Ocean Tower guests enter free with the room key card and pay a ¥150 bath tax at checkout; guests of the resort's condominiums and cottages pay ¥1,100, and outside visitors ¥1,100.
Hanare-yu is a source-flowing open-air bath in its own garden with a timber gazebo, a shower room and washbasins but no indoor tub, for up to four people: ¥6,000 per 60 minutes, ¥3,000 for Club Twin guests, free once a stay for Club Suite guests, from 7 a.m. to noon and 3 to 10:30 p.m. Oyunomiya is the resort's certified room of the yudo bathing way, a hand-plastered tub under a painted ceiling with Miyazaki crafts as the bathing tools, for two adults of junior high age or older: ¥8,000 per 90 minutes, ¥5,200 for Club Twin, free once for Club Suite, starting at 7:30 a.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Both are for hotel guests only, reservation only, booked online from a month ahead.

Rooms run from standard and deluxe twins and Japanese-style rooms up to the Club Twin Grand, Club Double Grand and Club Suite categories, whose guests get the private baths cheaper or free. Seven restaurants and bars include the Pine Terrace garden buffet, Ristorante ARCO and the teppanyaki (cooked on an iron griddle) counter Fukami. There are indoor and outdoor pools and a spa. The hotel carried the Sheraton name until June 2025.
