The bath
The sky spa is on the 26th and top floor, with a view the hotel says takes in both Osaka and Kyoto and the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge 50 km away. The open-air tub is lined in dark blue tile with its water flush to the edge, so it seems to meet the city and the hills; the indoor tub in the same blue sits against floor-to-ceiling windows. Each side has its own cold plunge and an auto-löyly sauna with pale wooden benches and a big window, releasing steam on the hour and half hour. Open 3 p.m. to 11 a.m., saunas off 2 to 6 a.m. Day tickets are ¥2,000 for either session, morning or evening, towels included, with spa membership and photo ID the first time. Hotel guests bring the towels from their room.
The hotel
Reception is on the 19th floor. The 17 m² Deluxe Queen and 20 m² Deluxe King are shower-only. Step up to the 25 m² Executive King or larger for a full bathroom with space to wash Japanese-style. Beds are Simmons.

Hirakata-shi STN · Keihan main line and Katano line
Connected to the station.
Between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m., walk through Hirakata Mall from the east ticket gate up to the 3rd floor; at other hours, follow the hotel’s street route from exit 7. Reception is on the 19th floor. Shin-Osaka is about 35 minutes.
