The bath
Tabibito no Yu is on the ground floor, a radium artificial spring made by dissolving Radi-Hope, a health-ministry-approved additive, in the water, soft and without color or smell. A tub at the far end of the room faces a broad window onto a strip of planting behind a bamboo fence, one bath lined in pale wood and the other in dark panels, with potted plants on the tiled floor. The women’s bath stocks KNOLL shampoo and conditioner, and a free shampoo bar stands beside the entrance. Coin laundry machines are inside the changing rooms. Hours are 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. and 5 to 10 a.m.; the women’s entrance is locked, with the key from the front desk.
The hotel
200 rooms next to a large shopping mall; parking is first come, first served. Upper-floor comfort rooms add airweave mattress pads and free movies. Free breakfast with croissants and Danish pastries baked in the hotel; Nagomi serves rice bowls, noodles and Route Inn’s own Ueda curry at dinner, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. except Sundays and holidays. Check-in from 3 p.m.; check-out by 10 a.m.

Getting there
Izumi-Chuo STN · Nankai Semboku line
About 10 minutes by Nankai bus, or 40 on foot (3.7 km, 2.3 mi).
Through trains from Nankai Namba reach Izumi-Chuo in about 35 minutes. Take the Nankai bus from stop 5, bound for Techno Stage or Lalaport Izumi-mae, to Lalaport Izumi-mae; the hotel is by the stop. Don’t confuse this with JR Izumi-Fuchu, which serves the sister hotel Route-Inn Osaka Izumifuchu. By car, the Kishiwada-Izumi interchange is 0.8 km away.
