Asarigawa Onsen Hotel
朝里川温泉ホテル
Does Asarigawa Onsen Hotel allow tattoos? In a private bath
The family bath here is the one private spring tub in Asarigawa that a day visitor can reserve, sixty minutes for 3,000 yen, with handrails and no step to climb over.
The hotel publishes no tattoo rule on its own site; the Asarigawa Onsen association does, refusing tattooed bathers in this hotel’s day-use bath, so plan around the large bath rather than testing it. The way in is the step-free family bath, which is real spring water, reserved by the hour, and sold to day visitors as well as guests. At 3,000 yen for sixty minutes it is the cheapest private spring bath a non-resident can book in this valley.

What happens when you arrive
Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.
How we know
Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy (the reservable barrier-free 家族風呂, its hours and price from the hotel’s own front page). The refusal is published by the Asarigawa Onsen association, not by the hotel.
