Does Kifunosato allow tattoos? In a private bath
More than a hundred flower arrangements go up around this inn at once, and five of its rooms end in an open-air tub of spring water.
Kifunosato publishes no tattoo rule, so the two large baths are a gamble. Its own Q&A is precise about what is private: five of its rooms have an open-air bath, and those room baths are the natural spring, while the unit baths in the plain Japanese rooms are not. The reservable open-air bath goes for 2,750 yen for 45 minutes.

What happens when you arrive
Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.
How we know
Confirmed from official site (the inn’s own Q&A page) — bath structure, not a tattoo policy. 45 pages of the site carry no tattoo statement.

Best for: A room with an open-air tub of real spring water, in an inn that keeps a hundred flower arrangements going.
Rooms: fifteen 10-tatami Japanese rooms, four Japanese twins, five 12.5-tatami rooms with an open-air bath, three semi-suites and four suites. The inn states plainly that the unit baths in the ordinary Japanese rooms are not spring water, so book one of the five. Reservable open-air bath 2,750 yen for 45 minutes, booked from 15:00. Large baths 15:00 to 24:00 and 5:00 to 10:00. Non-smoking throughout since 25 January 2025. Room dining is possible in the Japanese rooms and some of the open-air bath rooms for 2,200 yen a head, booked in advance.
