Gora Small hotel, Japanese-style rooms (opened 2026)

Hakone Gora Ten

HAKONE GORA 天TEN

Does Hakone Gora Ten allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

A new Gora hotel with two bookable private baths on its milky-white spring, and a private sauna and cold plunge to rent.

The hotel publishes no tattoo rule. Its two private baths, Nagi and Sakaki, are booked ahead for a fee, so a tattooed guest can bathe without sharing the water.

The bath

The hotel's spring is milky white and runs free-flowing into a men's bath and a women's bath, one each, open 3 p.m. to 9 a.m. with no booking. For a bath of your own there are two private bathrooms, Nagi and Sakaki, booked ahead for a fee; the hotel asks you to contact it for times and prices.

There's also a private tent sauna by Helo, with self-serve löyly. Children under 6 can't use it.

The hotel

Seven Japanese-style rooms of about 22 to 33 m², each for up to four (Konpeki, the largest, takes five); the whole house can be booked for up to 29. None has a bath. Every room has a microwave, an IH stove, a toaster and a kettle, and there are no yukata or loungewear. Stay room-only or book the sukiyaki (beef simmered in sweet soy sauce) dinner plan; vending machines sell food and drinks, card only. Check-in is 3 p.m. and checkout is 10 a.m. Seven parking spaces; ask ahead.
