A rented house in the forest near the Sculpture Forest, one group a day, with a sauna, a bonfire, a barbecue, and nobody else on the property.
One group per day, whole property. The villa publishes no tattoo policy and doesn't need one. The house and its tent sauna are yours alone for the stay. There's no hot spring on the property.
The bath
The draw here is a sauna rather than a hot spring. The house's own site doesn't mention spring water or describe the bathroom at all. What it does describe is a tent sauna, a MORZH MAX, which the owners describe as the largest size, where you pour your own water on the stones (self-löyly) as often as you like, and an open-air space among the trees for cooling down between rounds. Since the whole property is let to one group a day, the sauna and the cooling-off area are used only by your party. For an actual hot spring, the owners point guests to Tenzan Tojikyo nearby, which they recommend for its setting in nature and the quality of its water.
The hotel
A renovated old house by an architect, opened in August 2022, on a 668 m² plot. The house has 133.67 m² inside plus a 56 m² wood deck for barbecues, and sleeps up to twelve. Three former rooms were knocked into one living room with floor heating and a custom table for ten, and there are bedrooms and a tea room upstairs. There's also a bonfire, a home theater, coffee ground from local beans, and craft beer from Gora Brewery at extra cost.

Getting there
On foot from Chokoku-no-mori Station on the Hakone Tozan railway. Two cars can park on the property, nose to tail.
