Hotel Kikunoya
ホテル菊乃家
Does Hotel Kikunoya allow tattoos? In a private bath
Book a room in the Bettei annex, where all eight rooms have a tub of their own, and nothing needs covering. The water is an artificial spring, not a natural one.
Kikunoya publishes no tattoo rule on its site, so don’t take the silence as permission for the large bath.
The bath
The Bettei annex opened in July 2025 with eight rooms. Each has a tub of Towada stone and Aomori hiba wood, filled with Komyoseki water, which the hotel calls an artificial hot spring. You can use it at any hour.
In the main building most room types have a bath. Two have none, and one has only a shower booth.
The large bath, Kiku no Yu, has an indoor jacuzzi bath and an open-air bath of Iyo-Oshima stone. It’s for staying guests only, 6 to 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to midnight.
The hotel
Check-in is from 3 p.m. and check-out by 11 a.m.
