Does Itsukushima Iroha allow tattoos? In a private bath
Every room has a bath of its own, so nothing needs covering. The fifth-floor large bath publishes no tattoo rule.
Iroha publishes no tattoo rule on its site, which has no FAQ and no English pages, so don’t take the silence as permission for the large bath.
The bath
Suite Umi has a glass-walled bath of hinoki cypress and Towada stone. Suite Yama has a cave-like bath under a skylight, and the Japanese Premium room has a goemon-style iron tub. The other rooms have a bath and shower.
The hotel doesn’t describe its water as a hot spring.
The large bath on the fifth floor has an open-air bath facing the sea and the torii gate.

The hotel was Kurayado Iroha before it was renovated and reopened under its present name.
Getting there
Miyajimaguchi STN · JR Sanyo line, then the JR ferry
About 300 meters from Miyajima pier.
From Hiroshima, it's 27 minutes on the local train to Miyajimaguchi, a six-minute walk to the pier, then ten minutes on the ferry.
