Does Miyajima Hanare no Yado IBUKU allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Ten rooms in an annex, each with its own open-air bath fed from the Miyahama source, on the shore closest to the island.

The inn states that it pipes the source into every guest room, and the ten annex rooms each have an open-air bath. Nothing is shared, so there is no rule to satisfy. IBUKU publishes no tattoo statement, which matters only if you were hoping for a communal bath; there is none to be refused from.

What happens when you arrive

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.

How we know

Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy. The line about the source reaching every room is on the inn’s front page; 45 pages carry no tattoo statement.

Best for: Sitting in the source itself, on your own terrace, with no shared bath in the building

Ten annex rooms named for plants (Yamabuki, Ume, Fuji, Momiji, Yuzuha, Ai, Kurumi, Daidai, Sakura, Wakaba), two of them Western and the rest Japanese-Western for three; the main building adds three rooms on what the inn calls its bibo-yu fine-bubble water. The spring is a simple weak radioactive one rich in radon. Booking.com notes the property does not take children.
