Does Sekitei allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Twelve rooms scattered through a hillside garden above the Ono strait, each with its own tub, and a tea salon, library and sunken lounge between them.

Every one of the twelve rooms has its own bath, so the question does not arise. The inn’s fact sheet lists the room fittings as open-air, half-open-air or karasu-buro tubs and marks them 全室完備, fitted in all rooms. There is also a salon with a reservable bath attached. Sekitei publishes no tattoo rule anywhere on its site, and that silence says nothing about any bath you would share.

Hiroshima is the door for Miyajima, 27 minutes on the Sanyo line and a ten-minute ferry, and for the Yamaguchi towns, down the Shinkansen to Shin-Yamaguchi or Asa. Yubara and Yunogo are in the hills north of Okayama, which is 35 minutes from Hiroshima on the Shinkansen.. Sekitei · map data © OpenStreetMap contributors · open in Google Maps

Visit Hiroshima Tourist Pass One, two or three days on Hiroshima’s streetcars, including the line out to Miyajimaguchi, and the ferry across to the island. Slower than the JR train, and it covers the boat. Sold on Klook.

What happens when you arrive

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.

How we know

Confirmed from official site — bath structure, not a tattoo policy. The fact sheet lists a bath in every room; 45 pages of the site carry no tattoo statement.

Best for: A garden of 1,500 tsubo with a bath in every room that looks into it

Twelve rooms in three groups: three in the main house with the Seto view, seven detached ones facing the garden, and two in the pavilions. Dinner is served in the room, breakfast in the hall, and chairs can replace floor seating on request. The spring is a simple weak radioactive water. Rooms sit on a gentle slope with steps, though the inn says it can put guests in a step-free room and keeps a wheelchair.
