Does TSUKI Tokyo allow tattoos? In a private bath
The shared baths are restricted, but a private or in-room bath is open to you. You are bathing alone or with your own party, so the communal rule does not apply.
Private baths, and the hotel says in writing that tattoos are welcome in them. Its page for YUUYA, the reservable bathhouse, lists the rules of use and one of them is that guests with irezumi or tattoos may use it. Two bathrooms, OBORO and KASUMI, each with a deep tub of Aomori hiba cypress; 3,300 yen for sixty minutes, up to two people, guests only, 6:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 24:00. Not spring water — the point here is the wood and the privacy, not the geology.

The bath
YUUYA is a small bathhouse on its own, not a big shared bath: two rooms, OBORO and KASUMI, each with a deep tub of Aomori hiba that the hotel fills fresh, so the room smells of the wood before you are in the water. You book an hour, for one or two people, and it is yours. Beside it is YUAGARI, a lounge for afterwards with free drinks, a library and a massage chair. Open 6:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 24:00; 3,300 yen a session.
The hotel’s own rules for it run to four lines, and one of them is the sentence this listing rests on: guests with tattoos may use it. Children too, once out of diapers.
The hotel
Thirty-one rooms in a narrow building three minutes from exit 4 of Tsukiji STN on the Hibiya line, done in pale wood and Japanese ceramics. The three upper room types — Premier Double, Premier Twin and Deluxe Twin, 24 to 28 m² — have a hinoki bath in the room; the two cheaper ones have a shower. A sake bar, TABLE TSUKI, on the ground floor. Check-in 15:00, check-out 11:00.

What happens when you arrive
Do not use the shared baths — the rule there is a refusal, and the private bath is the whole reason this listing exists. Reserve it the way the property requires: the notes on this page say whether that is a time slot booked ahead, a request at check-in, or a phone call. Once the door is closed nobody is checking anything.
