JR Hokuriku Area Pass Four days on the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Tsuruga and Kurobe-Unazukionsen, non-reserved, for 7,000 yen. It covers the ride from Kanazawa to Kaga-Onsen; the Hokutetsu Kaga bus from the station is paid separately. Worth it if Awara, Unazuki or a second Kaga town is on the same trip. Sold on Klook.

Best for: Three detached private baths to book a slot in
Private baths by advance reservation; the inn changed its slot start times on 1 August 2025, and some plans include one free session. The large bath is open around the clock except 11:00–14:00 for cleaning. Free pick-up from Kaga-Onsen STN every 30 minutes from 14:30 to 18:00, by reservation. No pets.
