Does Yudanaka Seifuso allow tattoos? In a private bath
The private bath at Seifuso is a tub of Kiso cypress the inn says came from trees more than four hundred years old, with a plain lock on the door and no charge.
Seifuso publishes no tattoo policy. Its Shinzan hinoki bath has a lock on the door, and staying guests can use it privately at any time for free. That is the bath to use; the open-air bath and the old indoor bath are shared.

Three baths on the three sources held by the Shin-Yudanaka hot spring cooperative, a clear simple spring: a large open-air bath laid with Shiga Highlands stone, the Heian bath, an early-Showa bathhouse built like the Oyu communal bath with a ceiling over 5 m high, and the Shinzan hinoki bath, lockable for private use, free, staying guests only. The inn also runs an apple bath, with apples floating in the water, which it says changes with the season. Open around the clock except cleaning from about 10:00 to 14:00. No day bathing. There is a table tennis table.
