Does Hoshinooka Onsen allow tattoos? In a private bath
Twelve rented bath rooms at the foot of Hoshiokayama, some with their own open-air tub and stone-bed room, on alkaline water pulled from a kilometer down.
The answer here is the annex, not a rule. Spa Hoshinooka rents twelve private rooms, several with their own open-air tub, sauna or stone-bed room, from 3,200 yen for ninety minutes for up to five people, and some can be taken overnight. Nothing about tattoos is published for the Senyukan big bath, so treat that side as unanswered rather than open.

Three addresses under one name: the 千湯館 building with the big bath and family baths, the スパ星乃岡 annex with the private rooms, and the 大浴場 building. Big bath 06:00 to 24:00, last entry 23:20, open year round; the family baths run 24 hours. Big-bath admission 850 yen, 900 yen weekends and holidays, with a 700 yen rate before 10:00. Private rooms 3,200 to 4,800 yen for the first ninety minutes, 1,100 to 1,500 yen per extra half hour, 8,900 to 13,500 yen to stay the night for two with the big bath included. The spring is an alkaline water drawn from 1,000 meters.
