Does Soratomori allow tattoos? In a private bath
A Higashi-Dogo spring house that rents private baths and overnight rooms to the same guests it turns away from its big bath, and prints the distinction in its own FAQ.
The house says the quiet part out loud. Its FAQ answers a question about a small tattoo by refusing the big bath outright, in any size and including fashion tattoos, and refusing the body-care rooms as well, then states that the private family baths and the 湯宿 overnight rooms are open to you. That is a written permission for the private side, not silence, which is rare. Book a family bath slot; they open one week ahead.

Day use 05:00 to 25:00, last entry 24:00; the overnight stay runs 25:00 to 09:00. Day admission for an adult is 1,350 yen for members and 1,750 yen plus tax otherwise. Family bath slots open for reservation one week before the date: 利用日の1週間前から予約枠を開放します. Patrolling staff ask tattooed bathers in the big bath to leave, so do not test it.
