Taberu Oyado Hamanoyu

Does Taberu Oyado Hamanoyu allow tattoos? In a private bath
Hamanoyu calls itself the inn for eating, and serves its seafood dinners in the room. Its other habit is private bathing: over twenty room types with their own open-air tub, and three bath suites by the hour on top.
The inn publishes no tattoo rule. Most of its room types have an open-air bath of their own, more than twenty of them, and it rents out three private bath suites by the hour, two with saunas. Those cover a tattooed guest fully; ask the inn about the rooftop shared baths before using them.
The bath
The room list is dominated by rooms with an open-air bath: named suites such as Itten Shikai, Shione and Suigetsu, and lettered types from A to M, plus one type with a half-open-air bath and one with a sea-view indoor tub. Only a handful of standard sea-side and town-side rooms have no tub of their own.
Three private bath suites are rented by the hour, and you reserve them on the tablet in your room after you arrive. L'Ange, renovated in May 2016, is 110 square meters with an open-air bath, an open-air lie-down bath, a steam-on-stones sauna, a deck terrace and a rest area, at ¥6,600 for 60 minutes a group. Hoshi-no-umi, opened in August 2024, is 95 square meters with an open-air bath, a dry sauna, an open terrace and a changing salon, at ¥6,050 for 60 minutes. Tsuki-no-fune, opened at the same time, has a tub wide enough for two to stretch out and its own terrace. A private bedrock bath, opened in 2010, must be booked by 6 p.m. the same day.
The shared baths are on the top floor: Manten and Boyo, each with a large open-air bath, plus cypress and cave tubs, facing Izu Oshima. They swap, with one side open from 3 p.m. to midnight and the other from 4 to 10 a.m.
