Does The Kukuna (THE KUKUNA) allow tattoos? In a private bath
The Kukuna’s terrace rooms put a pool of onsen water on the balcony, with an open-air bath, a footbath and a shallow reclining bath facing the lake.
The Kukuna publishes no tattoo rule and lists no private bath. The way to bathe alone is one of the two terrace room types in its Tenku no Terrace building, which come with a water terrace holding an onsen open-air bath, a footbath and a reclining bath. The other room types have a shower booth or a jacuzzi tub, not an onsen bath.

Rooms with the water terrace (ウォーターテラス付（温泉露天風呂、足湯、寝湯付）): the Superior Terrace Room (50 m², 2 guests) and the Corner Terrace Room (57 m²), both in the Tenku no Terrace building. The Superior and Deluxe rooms in the central building list a shower booth; some Plaza wing rooms list a jacuzzi bath. The large baths, Ozora-no-yu Hoshi and Tsuki, swap between men and women late at night; saunas 15:00–22:00 and 5:00–10:00. Reservations by internet only.
