Does Toki Yuyu Rakuyu allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Rakuyu is built into a slope, so you walk in on the third floor, and there is no elevator. Up one more flight is Tenku, a private onsen bath looking out over the lake.

Rakuyu publishes no tattoo rule. It has a private bath on hot spring water, Tenku, with two rooms on the fourth floor looking over the lake, 45 minutes for 3,300 yen, booked on the day in order of arrival. The rooms with a view bath or ceramic tub use ordinary heated water, and the inn says so under each room.

What happens when you arrive

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.

How we know

Confirmed from official site, bath structure, not a tattoo policy (the inn’s facilities and room pages)

Best for: A lake-view private onsen bath at a small hillside inn

Private bath Tenku (Hoshi no Matataki and Tsuki no Akari, main building 4F): 15:00–22:00, 45 minutes, 3,300 yen, booked on the day in order of arrival. The Yuyu-an rooms (view bath) and Suimei-an rooms (ceramic tub and terrace) carry the note お部屋のお風呂は温泉ではございません: the room bath is not hot spring water. The entrance and front desk are on the third floor and there is no elevator, so every move between floors is by stairs.
