Wakakusa no Yado Maruei

若草の宿 丸栄

Does Wakakusa no Yado Maruei allow tattoos? In a private bath

Private bath only

Maruei turns tattooed guests away from its top-floor view baths and says so, then points them to Fuyo-no-yu, a private bath facing Mount Fuji that costs 1,650 yen for half an hour.

Not the shared baths, and a seal does not change that: Maruei says its refusal includes stickers. The same notice sends tattooed guests to the bath in their own room or to the paid private bath on the top floor, Fuyo-no-yu, which the inn says looks at Mount Fuji. It is booked in person on the day, in order of arrival, so check in early if you want an evening slot.

Skip the shared baths and reserve the private one the way this page describes. Once the door is closed, the bath is yours.
