Does Dormy Inn PREMIUM Kyoto Ekimae allow tattoos? Yes, covered

Cover seal required

The bath, 花蛍の湯, is on the ninth floor: a sodium-bicarbonate spring brought in from Joyo south of the city, an open-air bath lit through bamboo, a sauna that steams itself every twenty minutes and a chilled cold bath. Guests only.

Refused in principle, but the chain provides cover seals at properties that stock them — two per guest, in three sizes: 8.5×10.5 cm (3.3×4.1 in), 10×14 cm (3.9×5.5 in) and 11.8×17.2 cm (4.6×6.8 in). If the seals cover it, you can bathe. Ask at the desk when you check in rather than at the bath door: the chain says stocks are limited, and it words the promise as “depending on the facility”.

A chain rule, with the largest seals of any chain — when they are in stock

Dormy Inn answers this on every property’s own FAQ page in the same words: refused in principle, but a tattoo that a cover seal hides completely may bathe. The whole picture on Dormy Inn, and every Dormy Inn listing on this site →

Best for: Work a seal will cover, a few minutes from the Shinkansen

The bath is on the ninth floor and the hotel is straight about where the water comes from: the indoor tub is filled from the Joyo spring south of the city and brought in. An open-air bath outside it, lit through gaps in bamboo, a sauna that steams itself every twenty minutes, and a chilled cold bath.
